It is quite possible that I have two of the cutest dogs on the planet. Josie and Riley love to take walks, play with each other, and have taken quite a licking…or rather a liking to peanut butter. I have made them their own dog treats quite a few times and figured that since I spent the entire day with them and because they behaved well (for the most part) that they deserved some homemade treats. This recipe is so easy to make and the pups ran into the kitchen right when they smelled them baking in the oven.
The recipe is extremely easy, throw everything into a mixing bowl and make sure there is an even distribution of ingredients. Proceed to form the mixture into dog shaped bones and lay them on the cookie sheet. Make sure your oven is set to 350 degrees and bake for 5-7 minutes and most definitely wait until they cool before letting your furry friend indulge. “Bone” appetít!
1 cup peanut butter (creamy or crunchy)
1 cup oats
1/4 cup flour
2 tablespoons water
Josie was ready for her treats the moment she saw me go into the cabinet for peanut butter. And as for Riley…he knew right when he was done with his nap his treats would be out of the oven!
